Lonely Comedy Blog Seeks New Guest Blogging Friendship

Hiya! I'm Robert Hughey, and welcome to SSSTLG.com, which is is a PageRank 3 Comedy Blog built on Google Blogger, and I'm trying really hard to not sound like I'm writing a personal advertisement on Craigslist.

But that's not what I want. I'm seeking a GUEST BLOGGER (or two), not long walks on the Beach or a new baby daddy to not pay child support after we find out on Maurie P's show that "YES, you ARE THE FATHER!"

To be clear, I don't have an old baby daddy either. No baby daddy anywhere. You see, Robert is a boy name. I'm male. Alas, I don't have the kind of equipment for that sort of endeavor. If you don't know what I mean, go ask your mom to draw you a picture. If it's good and sensual, have her draw me one too.

But not if its a self portrait, okay?
(shudders)

Getting Started

First off, if you're wondering why you should consider guest blogging anywhere at all, then let me point you to Bill Belew's article on writing guest blogs. He's specifically talking about writing for Blogworld, but his reasoning is sound for any quality website or blog. I consider SSSTLG.com to be of good quality. I mean (snaps fingers) I do put my name on it, right?

And as site traffic continues to slowly (but steadily) increase, I will take that to mean I'm on the right path.

What I am hoping to receive from submissions

Fundamentally, I am seeking articles of around 500 words (two full double-spaced pages) that are funny and relative somehow to tech, science, or space exploration. Also open to science fiction, fantasy, or anything in Geekdom.

So a review of your favorite science fiction series? Sure, as long as its comedic. Your rant about the problems facing our current society due to the culture wars? If it's comedic, then I'll write back and say it was great, but the subject isn't exactly SSSTLG.com - now is it?

\
GUEST BLOG:
500 word minimum with a author bio where you write who you are and a couple sentences about yourself. Here you can include two personal links: one to your main page and the other preferably to a social network profile of your choosing (but I recommend Google+ or Facebook).

Please include your author photo if you have one. That's mine right here to the right. As you can see, I'm very lucky to have had pretty parents.

So let's discuss a few caveats regarding content:

Content: Dirty Jokes? Sure. Filthy Jokes? Not so Much

TV-MA is okay, but no NC-17 shiznit please. I don't like censorship at all, but just know if you drop more than a couple F-bombs in your article then I will probably use icons of flowers to replace all of your

Foul F'Flowers may need to live hereing Language!

Original work only, never published anywhere... online or otherwise, please...  I don't have any interest in plagerism either, so I will utilize two different programs to check for originality to ensure that nothing that has already found a nice home online will end up on my site...
....unless you're rich and famous, in which case I will OF COURSE be happy to take and publish anything you want.

Super Science Space Tech Laugh, Go!

"SSSTL, GOOOOOO!"

SSSTLG stands for "Super Science Space Tech Laugh, GO!" Say it fast, say it often. Say it like a Japanese TV Game show and it starts to make a little more sense. Yeah, I know - "Not too much more" is what you were thinking.

I'm not saying you're wrong.

What else was I wanting to share about guest blogs? Oh!

More on the types of links in your submissions: Link to what you wish, though I reserve the right to eliminate or change anything I deem necessary. A few reference links to very important authority sites like Wikipedia or Perez Hilton are certainly welcome too. No Problem. I may (and reserve the right) to nofollow any and all links on my website, though the expectation is to leave anything in the Author bio as it's given.

To submit an article/post for a guest blogging spot here on Super Science Space, Tech Laugh God, feel free to fire over an email to me with a query.

And check out Blogger LinkUp for connecting with other blogs, bloggers and building your network. You can ask to be contacted from potential Guest Bloggers, or you can offer your own writing services to get your links in other sites.  Or you can even seek sources for interviews or announce a contest.

Guest blogging services, whether writing or accepting writing, is all done without costing anything at Blogger LinkUP. To state again: it's totally free to participate in the LinkUp as a Guest Blogger or as someone seeking Guest Post Articles... or someone who is crazy busy doing both. It's deemed that both sides in an guest blog are receiving equal benefit.

You get my site traffic and the power of links from this blog, and I get something to give the people visiting my site a much-needed laugh, as perhaps they're not as impressed with Poop Monsters or Anal Aliens as I first thought.

And last, for reference for anyone in Search Marketing or curious about the more detailed tech side of guest blogging, or really any matter of using SEO to grow the traffic on your website, check out Search Engine Journal's Ultimate Guest Blogger's Guide for 2013

There's some good information there about Guest Blogging, how it's used and abused and what should be considered its Best Practices, and with regards to anything about SEO or Site Development: always remember that someone's opinion about a subject is their own and just that: an opinion. I personally trust SEJ to be experts in most matters of site development and SEO, but you should form your own opinions and look for whoever you trust the most to help you build up your online presence.

Amazing blog! Is your theme custom made or did you
download it from somewhere? A design like yours with
a few simple tweeks would really make my blog stand out. Please let me know where you got
your theme. Kudos

My blog ... http://www.negitomo.com/xe/7155

It is a premium template that I purchased from Theme Forest. I suggest going there and searching for "Blogger Templates." This one was $20 and it was honestly one of the most expensive, as most are quite economical.

I don't recommend getting this theme quite yet. It's quite buggy, to be honest. I'm actively searching for another one. I use this theme on my Marketing Blog and it looks a bit better there. See what you think.

Please do NOT use keywords in the Name/URL. That link is automatically nofollow on Blogger anyway. Use your name there, and include a link surrounded by really good supportive text in your comment itself, and if it's relevant (which includes simply introducing your blog) it will be dofollow on the canonical page.
