Comedy Writing Advice | SSSTLG!
I've always enjoyed this page that gives some exceptional advice for the budding comedic author. And I thought I would...
...
...you know what? I think that verb - "budding" - just sounds absolutely GROSS. I mean, "budding." How does a person "bud" anyway? It implies a slow, crawling kind of pushing open, or something of that nature, and in my world that has some very strange and slightly sexual overtones. Budding Comedic Author. Ha! How about the Developing Humor Writer or maybe the As Yet Untested Funny Scribe?
Comedy Adviser to Newbie Humorous Paper Pusher
Those are much better names for someone who is starting off comedy writing - and I suppose I need to remember to consider myself for that role. I have always informed everyone around me how hilarious I am, but it's just been in 2013 that I started realizing I wasn't actually so terrible at making people laugh. When I gave in and realized I might want to explore my warped sense of humor, then I started receiving more paying work because of it than any other subject I've worked on in the past. I enjoy making people laugh, whether it's with me or at me, and I can usually find something to make most people chuckle - I mean, at least some people some of the time.
Some Other People just wouldn't know what's funny if you took it out of their mouth and slapped them across the cheek with it, telling them:
"Watch your teeth! Okay!? Damn!"
"Watch your teeth! Okay!? Damn!"
What was I talking about exactly?

Writer Gets to the Point of Post
Babies are Gross |
So the Point of this Post was to bring forward some of my earlier content, in case you might be interested. More importantly, I've received a few comments inquiring about my green baby logo. Well, there's a reason for it. I can't say it's a particularly profound reason, but it made sense to my drug-addled brain at the time.
(I'd just had surgery. What kind? Oh, I had Ass Surgery - the best kind there is, the best kind of surgery a man can have other than vivisection.)
That's really the Point???
Well, yeah. It answers a question that will eventually go into the FAQs, when I have had enough question asked to actually make sense to go in the "Frequently Asked Questions."
SO if you got this far in this post: Do you have any questions to ask me?
